Newsletter Term 4 Week 6

MEETING TONIGHT
The next meeting is tonight in the school library. See you at 7pm. 

CHOOK AND GARDEN CARE OVER SUMMER BREAK
Have you even wondered what it would be like to have chooks? Always wanted to try but never got around to it? We need families to volunteer to look after the girls over the summer break. We know many of you have been interested in minding the chooks during the holidays and here is another opportunity.
We organise everything for you, delivery of the chooks, their house and their food etc… all you have to do is care for them and enjoy their delicious fresh eggs.
We also need volunteers to water the garden during the holidays for a week at a time. Any produce ready to pick will be yours!
The kids would love it! If you can help, let Rhonda French know on 0414 307 352.

FRIENDS OF THE GARDEN END OF YEAR CELEBRATION
It was lovely to relax with all the volunteers at Crosslands at the weekend. Thanks again everyone for your hard work this year.

THE GARDEN CLUB
The Year 4 Garden Club is underway with a new group of year four students. Each Monday they are helping to create some wonderful ornaments which will eventually be on show in the garden. Won’t they be proud when they see what they have made?! Mosaic bees, snails, lizards, just to name a few…

$2,500 FOR YOUR SCHOOL!
The garden team have won another grant for the school. The $2,500 will be used to build a spectacular raised garden bed modelled on Mr Green, a frog pond and a tiered seating area near the bush tucker garden. The money has come from the NSW Environmental Trust Eco Schools Program.
