Mr Green the gecko says...

“Save Your Seeds!”
You don’t have to go to the nursery to grow your own plants. Save your vege and fruit seeds in an old egg carton. You can sort them into sections, let them dry out and then plant in your garden or in a little jiffy pot and sit them on your window sill until they germinate. Let them grow a little bit and then transplant them outside somewhere. Good luck!

CHOOK HOLIDAY
The chooks had a great holiday at the Hose’s house. Thanks to Belinda and her boys for doing such a wonderful job of looking after the girls. Three eggs a day. What a treat!

DIG, DIG, DIGGING
No garden would be a success without lots of digging. Well, a few of us stalwarts were here in the holidays digging trenches for drainage and irrigation. It should work a treat. Thanks, thanks and thanks for all your muscle and hard work!

NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting is on Tuesday October 18 at 7pm in the library. All welcome!
