“Plant nitrogen-fixers!”
All plants need nitrogen to grow. Adding manure to deficient soil is an easy way to add nitrogen. Some plants are nitrogen-fixers and give it back to soil. Beans and sugar snap peas for example. When harvesting a crop, cut the plant back to ground level and the root nodules should release all the valuable fixed nitrogen for following crops. Happy harvesting!

Mr Green the gecko says ...
“Mere morsels please!”
When you feed your worms in your worm farm, chop the scraps up into smallish pieces. This makes it easier for the worms to eat. A well-fed worm is a happy worm.
